Anne Beeching

Anne Beeching is a local artist who has lived all her Cornish life beside either river or sea so has been able to develop an in-depth knowledge of the landscape that is peculiar to the foreshore, from detailed items of flotsam to sweeping coastal landscapes which completely captures the ethos of Cornwall with its changes of light and substance with the seasons.

She paints with a strength that is complemented by subtle nuances that can take the viewer by surprise. Her recent brightly coloured “fun” paintings known as her “dotty paintings” because of the style of application depict the lighter side of life by the sea.

She works in her light and airy studio overlooking the Carrick Roads.Her work has been sought after and collected since her first professional exhibition.
